As most of you know I just met the crew at S.M. City just last spring. It didn’t take long to like them and respect their great work. We soon became friends, so when it came to having some long milage matenance work done, it was a no brainier.
Back to the flame job. I bring my road weary sled into S.M. City just before the weather turns totally shitty. All I ask them to do is belts, rear tire, cables, and a look over. What I got was a whole lot more attention and care. They really took their time looking out for me and my safety. They found and fixed a whole bunch of things this amateur bike builder didn’t have quite right. Not to mention a bitchin flame job on my gas tanks.
No, they did not make work for themselves, no they did not gouge me, and yes they do this for everyone who leaves their attitude at the door. Hey, I said these guys are good, not pushovers. Besides, if you want to be an ass, there are plenty of other shops who will take your coin.
You can ask anyone who has met, or had S.M. City do work for them, what stand up guys they are. Their approach to the bike bushiness is the best of old school, and new school, and the result is satisfied customers / friends. It has been said that Johnny B and brother Rusty are at the head of the class in KooL School.
