Floating There is a rythm to it like taking a walk like saying the Rosary the water drips off the paddle breathing gets even with me. There is a calm to it scenery glides by wild animals, not believing stare as you float along like a lost log on the way to the sea. There is a place you go in your mind, a wilderness without phones or Dan Rather's deceit the sun glints off tiny waves of no expectation. There is time with no time it could be Lewis and Clark, or Jesus approaching in the dark the canoe, paddle and memory of the good times on a Harley-Davidson. William J.
