"I Am Who I Am, I Don't Know About You......." by Mizblooze56 August 8, 2005 At 11 years old I read that Lowell drunk; he changed my world forever. He showed me I had a voice and, I could use it. 18 year old neighbors were being shoved into open mouthed giants of planes to travel 10,000 miles to kill perfectly innocent farmers- I knew it was wrong, so- MY mouth opened and I cried out now, at almost 49 I still cry out- WHY? A Shiny silver bracelet on my still small wrist bares the name of a boy from Texas I'll never know- KIA SVN 71. That was the year I had my 1st ride on the back of Wes' Harley. I was again changed forever. I hear the thunder of a V-Twin,I turn my head I hear the blades of a chopper above I still turn my eyes to the sky, then look at my bracelet: KIA SVN 71. I've ridden, now,I can't. Ah,it’s the knees still..... I wonder:did Manuel R. Puentes of Texas, KIA SVN 71 even experience the joys of the wind? the road? Does he know what its like to see 50,75 bikes coming over a hill? or did he just experience "the yellow man" coming through the scuse-me-vines, then go to black.......... We'll NEVER KNOW! Me, when I have cake on Wednesday, my 49th birthday, I'm going to hoist a piece to Father Sky and ask he remember Brother KIA SVN 71. Manuel R. Puentes, Texas; and ask that he have a ride in heaven. They've got Harleys in Heaven, right? (Coz,that’s where I hope to go,when I'm 49, oh, the 4th time around............). Peace. Mizblooze56
