Ron n Mollie By Blooze January 15 2009
Okay, so he had a rice burner- Long before the days of huge Honda’s, Kawi’s w/ vtwins- you get it. I used to (sorta) kid him by asking Him to park her behind My building… So none of my pals’d think I’d lost it. My mind that is. He’d named her Mollie And my favorite Aunt’s name is Mollie So I used that to justify even being seen With that machine and him. He was one of the most interesting Men I have met- even to this day- An RN, carpenter, photographer, steam train Enthusiast, gamer- You name it-Ron did it. It’s been about 10 years now And I am either getting older And softer Or, more accepting of it isn’t what you Ride, But that you ride. And he rode (all 6 foot 6 of him)- In 6 degree ice stormy New England Winters, in 90 degree egg-frying on the road Summers. After 12 hour shifts in What ever hospital he worked at. He rode. He just rode. Happily, exhausted, He and Mollie rode, as one. I used to think it was kinda Funny to name a bike- Thought that was a girlie thing We do with our first cages or mini-vans- And then they rode off into the sunset. Gone. I miss them both.
